The Cochon 555
Held at the Ritz-Carlton, the Cochon 555 was an event where five of the area's best chefs each prepared a 125 pound heritage breed hog from head to toe in a friendly competition and tribute to great food, chefs and winemakers. The contestants include R.J. Cooper from Vidalia Restaurant, Nicholas Steganelli from Bibiana, David Barley of Bourbon Steak, Dan Singhofen from Eola, and Joe Palma from Westend Bistro. Guests and judges determined a winner based on presentation, utilization and overall best flavor, with the winner being crowned the “Prince / Princess of Porc."
