COCHON 555 5 Chefs, 5 Pigs, 5 Winemakers at The Newseum's Knights Conference Center
The Newseum’s Knights Conference Center was truly heaven on earth for pork and wine lovers this past Sunday evening!
5 chefs, 5 pigs, and 5 winemakers all came together for Cochon 555 2011. Five local chefs took part in a friendly competition to see who could prepare a 175-pound heritage breed hog from head to toe the best. Guests and local judges chose Scott Drewno of The Source as the winner based on presentation, utilization and overall best flavor. Also in the running for top D.C. pork chef were Jamie Leeds of Hank’s Oyster Bar, Bryan Voltaggio of VOLT, Adam Sobel of Bourbon Steak DC, and Tarver King of Ashby Inn and Restaurant.
