Dandies & Quaintrelles Present White Nights Full Moon Outing
“The moon, like a flower in heaven's high bower, with silent delight sits and smiles on the night.” These are the words of poet William Blake and the inspiration for the theme of Dandies and Quaintrelles latest event. There was a wonderful turn out for the group’s first full moon outing as some two-hundred dreamers departed on their bicycles and rode from dusk to nightfall. The ride started at BicycleSPACE and took riders through Capitol Hill and Barracks Row, to the Capitol River Front, through the monument grounds, by the White House, and finally to Logan Circle. Along the ride, the participants handed out handmade paper gifts for unsuspecting strangers. And at the end, the riders all set their bikes down and enjoyed an outdoor show by acoustic performers on Logan Circle.
