Hirshhorn After Hours
This past Friday marked the latest installment of Hirshhorn After Hours— one of Washington D.C.’s premier contemporary art and music events.
Guests stayed up late and enjoyed extended Hirshhorn Museum hours, curator led gallery tours, and live musical performances. Featured performers included Extreme Animals and DJ Shea Van Horn.
Over the past nine years, the duo Extreme Animals has taken its disjunctive mélange of live music, extreme feedback, YouTube bombardment, staged theatrics, and global meltdowns around the country, performing at galleries and museums, as well as legendary underground music venues.
Also featured was DJ Shea Van Horn, known for his infamous dance parties and his guest DJ spots at numerous D.C. nightlife events. Shea Van Horn sheds his drag alter ego, Summer Camp, and returned to After Hours to stir up the dance floor and left a trail of exhausted revelers in his wake.
