St. Jude threw their biggest fundraiser event ever with the 13th annual St. Jude Gourmet Gala: Mardi Gras for the Kids at the National Building Museum. Proceeds from the event will support children suffering from catastrophic and life–threatening diseases. Guests were able to partake in an exclusive opportunity to taste some of the D.C. area’s finest restaurant cuisine while mingling with more than 750 businesses, financial and political leaders. The Gourmet Gala is organized by a committee that has helped raise more than $2.5 million for St. Jude throughout the last 12 years and has helped support various programs, including gene therapy, bone marrow transplants, immunology and AIDS vaccine research.
