For partygoers seeking a respite from the typical scene, there’s a new game in town, Adams Morgan’s District, which officially opens on January 23rd.
District is in the space formerly occupied by Chloe, nestled next to Pinkberry-inspired CaliYogurt, and rock and roll lounge Asylum. But upon entry, you won’t recognize the old nightclub. Everything has been revamped by owner Patrick Dildine, and a team of fellow Catholic University Architecture students. The result -- state of the art lighting, a floating DJ booth perched on the wall between floors, a heated roof deck, and an overall airy, loft-like space. And if you aren’t the club-going type in spite of all this, you can still appreciate District. Soon, they will be open at 5 p.m. to provide dinner to patrons.
