Fruit bat is a cool new bar that just opened up on the H St. What sets this bar apart from most in the city is its emphasis on fruity and spicy cocktails.
They have a menu of about 20 different fruity alcohol concoctions including Apple Strudel (Vanilla Vodka & Apfel Schnapps) and Hot, Spiced & Spiked Cider. But Fruit Bat goes one step further and allows you to B.Y.O.C. (build your own cocktail).
You start by picking your base spirit- vodka, gin, rum, tequila or whiskey. Then you choose your modifier or liqueur...whether it be herbal, sweet, tart or spicy. And then you pick the seasonal fruit of your choice. Tweak it with some spice or sweetens at the bar and you’re done! You have your own personal cocktail!
And for those with a bit of an appetite, Fruit Bat does offer fruit bites which include tasty tacos, fresh sweet potato fries, and fried plantains with beans and rice.
Fruit Bat also makes delicious virgin drinks and smoothies so everyone can enjoy what "the bat" has to offer!
