Murphy's of D.C.

This Irish pub is tucked away on the other side of the storefronts and restaurants on Connecticut Avenue. It's one of the few businesses on a short stretch of 24th Street and only 150 feet from the Woodley Park Metro station. The kitchen is open until midnight every night, and features basic bar food with an Irish twist on most dishes. The bar sits between two major hotels, which brings a major amount of convention-goers to the place (you can usually spot them by their nametags), but don't let that dissuade you. The pub pours great Irish beer, has a nice wood fireplace, live music and gets crowded almost every night of the week.
