The Eclipse Lounge is an old school hand dance and music destination. What is hand dance you ask? The popular Washingtonian art of hand dance emerged from the Jitterbug in the 50’s and 60’s. Okay back to the Lounge … It’s been around 25 years and seats 245 with two dance floors, which features DJs and live oldies but goodies music, a variety that attracts lots of local residents. The bar offers appetizers, salads and fish dishes. Five Tops and DJ Iceman are regular performers at this swinging joint.
