Can't remember Roman numerals? Well, you can forget MCCXXIII and just remember 1223, which is this downtown D.C. club's Connecticut Avenue address and an example of how hard they try to transport you to somewhere more "hip." New York City attitude--and prices--await you at in this three-story lounge. If you can get in (cover charges can vary and fluctuate depending on night of the week, attire, crowd and luck of the bouncer) MCCXXIII has a vintage feel with a large dance floor, a second floor catwalk overlook and a third floor ultra VIP area provocatively referred to as Spank. If you have to ask, you probably aren't one, but don't worry the rest of us can reserve a table and some bubbly here too, just not on the top floor.
