Owner Morris Cunningham is Jamaican, so too is the food and atmosphere of the Turntable Restaurant and Lounge, which is 12-years old. The place has actually been a bar and food establishment for 35 years, Cunningham says. It is located in a place in D.C. where there is not a lot of foot traffic
during weeknights. It is a hangout for locals where Missouri and Georgia Aves. meet in upper-east northwest. The Turntable has a D.J. spinning reggae and other dance music records.
