The fifth annual Brew at the Zoo was hosted by the Friends of the National Zoo (FONZ) and the zoo. The sold-out event featured over 35 microbreweries from around the D.C. region, as well as some select national and international beer distributors. Food was brought in from many restaurants such as; Common Wealth, Eatonville, Armand's Pizzeria, Hard Times Café, and Rocklands Barbeque and Grilling Company. Gonzo’s Nose and the all-female percussion troupe Batala entertained the crowd. Proceeds from the event went to supporting animal care, conservation science, education, and sustainability at the National Zoo.
