The fire is always blazing at this red brick bar catering to gay men. (Literally. ) Glass keeps the large fireplace from turning the main room into a furnace during the summer months, but here at the Fireplace, the flames are always lit. The clientele tends to be largely African-American and on the older, mellower side. There is a dance floor upstairs and a large room downstairs that’s dimly lit and furnished with high stools and bar tables. On Thursdays, shirtless men get drink specials, and on Fridays, Crown Royal is just $5.
