Located inside the historic 219 building, this 100-year old establishment oozes charm and Victorian elegance in its upstairs section coined the “Basin Street Lounge.” It's open only on weekends and it's not to be confused with its more rambunctious counterpart, the “Bayou Room” located downstairs. This is where you'd come to impress a date on your sophisticated taste. $5 will get you in to watch live jazz (beginning at 9 p.m.) while sipping some chardonnay. Boring date? You can easily take the downstairs escape route to the Bayou Room where you'll find the stone walls become a pressure chamber for the party hungry crowd that only gets bigger after midnight.
