G2 Lounge

This new hotspot isn't preaching how George Washington used to live here but how Puffy used to spend his Howard days here. G2 Lounge is a hip new bar/lounge and diner with an Ethiopian flare. It offers up a scatter-seated eatery with a black/white tiled floor and a long, sleek bar, while the top level opens things up with a circular, fluorescent blue bar surrounded by a lacquered dance floor big enough for all egoes to party.

The Ethi-opened minded diner makes regional dishes like Kitfo (minced beef in a chili spice blend) and Lega Tibs: tender cubes of lamb shoulder stir-fried in rosemary and garlic. It may not be liqour-licensed yet but you can get your fix of comedians and jazz musicians on the top floor while enjoying the ambience.

You may or may not have a G5 but you can definitely party at G2.
