A silk-screened image of the flower wraps around the outside of the incongruous office building housing Lotus. Go down the wood-paneled stairwell with the waterfall underneath and enter the Lotus. The curved lines of the flower are recreated in the décor, from the lotus light fixtures over the bar and the curved entranceway. A 10-foot high Buddha holds court over the room. Chef Will Fung, formerly of Sushi Ko, oversees the menu, which includes Chicken Katsu, sushi, miso soup and of course, sake. The crowd varies depending on the night and music, but house, hip-hop, top 40 and rap are all on rotation.
