Redline is the new luxury gastro pub/sports bar that just opened up in Penn Quarter, a few blocks away from the Verizon Center. It is taking over the spot formally occupied by Inde Blue.
Redline’s main attraction has to be their solution to long refill line at the bar for a beer: “The Personal Table Tap.” Guests can pour their own draft at 8 premium booths that offer a no-wait standard of service. The amount of beer dispensed is recorded and displayed on an electronic meter embedded into the table enabling both the customer and redline servers to monitor consumption. How cool is that!
Redline’s food menu is just as cool. They serve up your usual American bar foods with some added French flare.
The brick and mahogany wood finish of Redline is also unique from other sports bars in DC. It leaves you with the sense that you’re at a much more expensive and posh place than where you actually are. This is like the perfect place to take a date when you really just want to watch the game but yet still want to make her feel like you’re only there for her!
