The building in which The Red & The Black operates is, well, red and black. It features a quintessential bar on the first floor and a live music venue upstairs. There also is a patio. The Red & The Black captures the New Orleans theme and attracts locals from the H Street NE corridor as well as hard-core regulars and the curious. It will be installing a small kitchen in the future with specials to come; beer tastings and clam bakes. This is an excellent small venue to see live bands.
