Battle of the Biceps
Let the "tickets to the gun show" jokes begin. This past Thursday was D.C.'s younger, frattier version of Fight Night – the Battle of the Biceps charity arm wrestling tournament. Some of the area's finest young men and women broke out their muscle T's, added extra reps of bicep curls to their workout regimens and duked it out in this single elimination competition.
Held at The Rookery, hundreds of fans packed the normally members-only club to cheer on their favorite competitors. Proceeds benefited Neediest Kids, a nonprofit organization that provides assistance to disadvantaged youth in the D.C. area in collaboration with metropolitan Washington school systems. It was a sweaty affair as contestants battle for top billing – shirts came off, smack was talked, and in the end only the biggest and best were left standing. Flip through the photo gallery to get a taste of all the Stallone-esque excitement.
