Flip Cup Tournament
On Saturday May 2, 15 teams descended on McFadden’s Bar to compete in D.C.’s first official Flip Cup tournament. Founders the “Flip Cup Guys” started the tournament in New York in 2007 and have seen it quickly grow to 10 cities along the East Cost – culminating with the upcoming World Series of Flip Cup in Baltimore. The winning team for this tournament, appropriately named “Below Me,” won a free spot in the world series. The "Below me" players were no joke either; team members Dana and Jason also won the women’s and men’s survivor games, respectively. Regardless of who won, the beer (and shots) flowed freely and a good time was had by all - and an abnormally large number of guests felt the need to put strange objects on their heads!
