Update: In a tweet over the weekend, Courtney Love apologized to daughter Frances Bean Cobain. Love tweeted: "Bean, sorry I believed the gossip.. Mommy loves you."
Original post: Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of Courtney Love and the late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, is speaking out against rumors involving herself and her dad's former bandmate, Dave Grohl. The whole thing started when Love took to her private Twitter account to accuse the 43-year-old Foo Fighters frontman of hitting on and possibly sleeping with her daughter.
"I hear from Frannie's roommate that @davegrohl hit on frances," the 47-year-old Hole singer tweeted earlier this week. "I'm not mad at her, him i am about to shoot dead."
Not so, says a usually quiet Cobain. The 19-year-old, who has been estranged from her mother for several years, issued this statement to Lifeline Live via her rep:
While I'm generally silent on the affairs of my biological mother, her recent tirade has taken a gross turn. I have never been approached by Dave Grohl in more than a platonic way. I'm in a monogamous relationship and very happy.
Twitter should ban my mother.
Love and Grohl have been feuding since Cobain committed suicide in 1994.
