Octomom's situation continues to deteriorate.

Nadya Suleman filed for bankruptcy Monday, saying in a court filing that she has as much as $1 million in debt, according to AP.

"I have had to make some very difficult decisions this year, and filing Chapter 7 was one of them," Suleman said in a statement. The mother of 14 reported up to $50,000 in assets in federal court filings. "But I have to do what is best for my children and I need a fresh start."

By filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy, a court-appointed trustee would liquidate her assets to pay off creditors before her debts are discharged. Her home was due to be auctioned on Monday, but that was postponed.

Suleman turned down an offer two years ago from a adult film company to pay her mortgage if she would sign a movie contract, but she's open to another offer now, she says. "If it's a job, and it's a well-paying job, and it's going to allow me to get us out of here and into a very safe huge home that they deserve, then I'm going to do it," she told HLN in an interview. But she would allow no kissing and no touching.

She also defended her home and her children's health. "They're over 3, not one broken bone, not one injury, not one child with a disability." According to HLN, there is graffiti on the walls, the work of her oldest son as a way of venting his frustration, and there are holes in the wall, punched by a son who is autistic. "You people, you keep your business to yourself, and I'll keep my business to myself," said Suleman. "My kids are healthy, they're happy, they've got food."
