It looks like Scarlett Johansson is headed back to Broadway, in another American classic.
The actress, who earned a Tony Award in her first Broadway outing - a 2010 revival of Arthur Miller's A View From the Bridge-aahas already made it known that she's in discussions to play the sultry, unfulfilled Maggie in Tennessee Williams' Cat On A Hot Tin Roof.
Now The New York Times is reporting that a production of Cat will be staged next spring, and that Chris Pine is the leading contender to play Maggie's husband, Brick. Jeremy Renner is also under consideration for the latter role, which hasn't been cast; neither have the roles of Big Daddy (last played on Broadway by current Tony nominee James Earl Jones) or Big Mama.
