Free theatre performances
The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is a monument to accessible arts. The theatre stages at least one free performance every day of the year on the Millennium Stage. For instance, pianist Deanna Witkowski will be performing May 16 as part of the Women in Jazz Festival; on May 21, Liz Longley will sing her song "Queen"covered by John Mayer; and on May 29 a West African dance and ballet company (Shange Dance Productions) will be featured.
Also, the Kennedy Center regularly sells pay-what-you-can tickets for a variety of Kennedy Center and National Symphony Orchestra performances. They also sell discounted tickets for dress rehearsals, such as the $12 tickets to Bolshoi Ballet open rehearsal on June 16.
