Despite plenty of celebs and the District's elite on hand, the children were the stars of D.C. Fight Night. Well, the children and the scantily clad boxing ring girls. The 19th annual black tie event, held at the Washington Hilton, was organized by Fight For Children, a local non-profit that raises millions of dollars each year at this boxing themed event to help make a positive impact on Washington D.C. children.
Although the cause was a serious one, there was still lots of fun to be had at Fight Night. Attendees were treated to a lavish cocktail party and a gourmet steak and seafood dinner waitressed by model-caliber ladies. Sports memorabilia and other great gifts were auctioned off (including a $75,000 American flag). The event coordinators even received a lift on the D.C. smoking ban so guests could enjoy cigars. And of course there was the main event...the professional boxing.
Special heavyweight guests this year included boxing legend Smokin' Joe Frazier and football great Dick Butkus. Click here for pics from the party and to see what other stars showed up!
