(Air) rocking out at the 9:30 Club

Did you see that line around the 9:30 Club on Friday night? Did you wonder what band was soooo awesome that they had smoking hot 20 somethings lining the block? Well don't fret because you didn't miss out on today's biggest up and coming band, but you did miss out on the best night I've had in a while and it involved Air Guitar.

The US Air Guitar Championships came into town for a fun filled night of booze, leather pants and of course absolutely no music credibility at all. Now in case you're still a tad bit confused I'll explain further...A bunch of random dudes (some pros and some amateur) hit up the stage for 60 seconds and they rock out with their invisible guitar. No joke they put on costumes and put on their best show for the audience and judges.

Now I will say that I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it soo much without the beverages, but than again anytime you go out and watch a guy named Sanjar The Destroyer (STD) tear it up on his air guitar is a good night.  Also, next year the National Championships are in DC, so if you're feeling guilty about missing out don't worry you have 2 more opportunites next year.
