A tech event to go down in the books! DC Twestival brought out social media enthusiasts, area businesses and philanthropists to Midtown Loft in support of non-profit Miriam's Kitchen. The global event started earlier in the year and was an effort across microblogging social network, Twitter, to support chairty. This installment focused on the local city and their chosen charity. DC Twestival was able to give Miriam's Kitchen enough money to provide 10,000 meals to DC homeless and families in need! Phenomenal use of social media and local sponsors to bring support to Washingtonians that need it most!
