19th Annual Smithsonian Young Benefactors Gala & Silent Auction
The 19th Annual Smithsonian Young Benefactors Gala & Silent Auction was held at the visually stunning Smithsonian Kogod Courtyard at the Donald W. Reynolds Center for American Art and Portraiture. The theme of the evening was “All That Jazz," and featured a roaring 1920s style gala with females in flapper dresses and gents in stylish tuxes. Event proceeds and a silent acution benefited the YB Culture4Kids Fund, which provides support for D.C. schoolchildren to attend the educational and cultural programs presented by The Smithsonian. Entertainment for the evening was provided by Raggs & The All Stars--which featured one of Baltimore's finest jazz and R&B vocalists, Sheila Ford, who performed covers of Ella Fitzgerald and Aretha Franklin.
