Apps4Ben's Contest Finale at Ben's Next Door
The last event of DCWeek ended things with a bang, as local developers helped D.C.'s most beloved eatery move in to the digital age. Since April Ben's Chili Bowl has held a Apps4Bens contest to design the first official Ben's Chili Bowl App and a winner was crowned on the spot Sunday June 20 with a presentation adn awards party at Ben's Next Door. Winner Paul Murphy’s "Ben's App" allows customers to take photos of themselves and post them on a cool retro-looking mural on an Ipad in the restaurant. In addition to bragging rights, Paul also gets free s food and swag, plus a framed photo on the wall next to President Obama and Bill Cosby.
