Guests got a chance to watch model athletes such as Redskins Brian Orakpo and D.C. United's Ben Olsen take a stand against domestic violence at the Becky's Fund's 2011 "Walk This Way." The event at Mellon Auditorium featured amazing food, fashion, and entertainment provided by Art Soiree, all while supporting the organization's efforts in promoting the prevention of domestic and dating violence in our communities.
The runway show highlighted three amazing stories of survival describing the cycles of domestic violence in a unique theatrical presentation that incorporated three eras of design as interpreted by Eric Finn Custom Clothiers and renown women's designer, Maggie Norris Couture, the legendary designer who has dressed classic personalities such as Audrey Hepburn, Michelle Obama, Nicole Kidman among others.
