Couture for a Cure
For the first time in its 20 year history, DKNY showed its entire Spring 2010 collection in Washington, D.C. The second annual Couture for a Cure was held in the Kogod Lobby of the Woolly Mammoth Theatre. The event is the creation of Nadine Namoff and her husband Bryan Namoff, a D.C. United soccer player, who as part of their commitment to raising funds for her 2009 Woman of the Year Campaign to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), assembled local designers to outfit an impressive cast of local athletes, models and cancer survivors to walk the runway for a cure to raise over $20,000 and gather an impressive turnout of more than 450 guests.
