D.C. Craft Bartenders Guild's Rickey Competition
The Rickey, D.C.'s very own official cocktail, was named after a 19th century lobbyist with very specific libation needs. Adams Morgan's Bourbon played host to a competition for this classic cocktail, keeping tradition alive by inviting the city's best bartenders to show off their special variation. Offerings ranged from watermelon to rosemary to roasted pepper, each offering a unique twist on a D.C. institution.
