D.C.'s Hottest 5!
It was a hot night in the Hard Rock Café, where four of D.C.’s Hottest 5 bands competed to win the title of the District's best musical act. (The fifth group couldn’t perform because its lead singer got stranded in Omaha). Funk/soul band Third Stream Giants (the night’s winner), Arlington rockers Tieweb, reggae hip-hop artists Mello-D and the Rados, and rapper DK aka Wayne Watts all took the stage and gave the crowd a great show. They were accompanied by another hot set of five, the DC-5 girls, who danced along to the tunes of Braat Musik artist and D.C. Lottery singer Wisdom Speeks. Regardless of who they were there to see, guests sang and danced along to every performance, participated in Samy K’s giveaway games, and voted live to select D.C.’s Hottest Band! Congratulations to all bands for making it to the Top 5 and a big round of applause to D.C.'s hottest act, Third Stream Giants!
