#DCTwestival 2011 at Shadow Room
Tweeters from all across the District joined forces on Thursday March 24th for this annual social media fundraiser at Shadow Room. In 2011, DC Twestival Local joined with FAIR Fund Inc. to elevate community awareness surrounding human trafficking. FAIR Fund's program, "Tell Your Friends," reaches out to youth in DC schools with a four week process to educate and discuss the serious nature of human trafficking, how to identify it and how to end or report it. 100% of ticket sales and donations from the fun-filled night went directly to FAIR Fund in support of local DC programs and initiatives.
As the official media sponsor of this year's #DCTwestival, Metromix was there to take photos, video and even Twitpic throughout the party with our lovely MMX Street Team girls. Plus, free goodies from vitaminwater and Popchips!
