Oh the mayhem
The storm may have shut down much of D.C., but for the gung-ho participants of the Dupont Circle Snowball fight, snow meant forts, fun, and endless rounds of ammunition. Shouts and cries reverberated far and wide in the otherwise silent city, and snowballs leapt high into the air for a long time after the official horn sounded to stop. Snowmen of varying shapes and sizes dotted the battleground, and no one was too young or old to get in on the action (though they had to be OK with taking a snowball -- or many -- to the face.) But high spirits and silliness were in full supply, making the dreaded 2010 "snowpocalypse" one of the most celebrated events of the season.
