Paddle Boating
Paddleboats on the Tidal Basin
1501 Maine Ave. S.W.
Seven days a week (through Labor Day) 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Wed.-Sun. (after Labor Day through Columbus Day) 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
OK, it's hard to look cool in a paddleboat, but just try and not have fun cruising around the tidal basin in a little blue boat. Twelve bucks will get you and a partner on the water for an hour, or you can upgrade to a 4-seater for $19. Since it’s summer and we’re talking foot power here, you’ll want to bring a bottle of water with you. It’s the only food or beverage allowed while boating.
So don't forget to paddle by Jefferson in the Tidal Basin for an activity that you can talk yourself into counting as a workout.
