ICE! Merry Madagascar at Gaylord National
If there’s one reason to be thankful temperatures are dropping, it’s that ICE! is back at National Harbor. Gaylord National Resort once again presents an epic Christmas celebration featuring over two million pounds of frozen water transformed by expert ice carvers from Harbin, China in to characters from Dreamworks’ “Merry Madagascar.” With room after room of larger-than-life size carvings over 15,000 square feet, including two-story tall ice slides (open to children and adults!), there’s no better way to get in to the holiday spirit.
The rest of the Gaylord resort has also been turned in to a winter wonderland for their annual Christmas on the Potomac celebration, with 12 miles of Christmas lights, an indoor ice skating rink, and a 7,000 pound glass tree that comes to life in an amazing nightly show.
