Movember Mustache Contest and Fundraiser at Meridian Pint
Team DC MO hosted a Movember fundraiser raffle and mustache contest at Meridian Pint on Tuesday November 29th. The fundraiser, sponsored by Flying Dog, featured a mustache contest for categories such as “Man of Movember,” “Miss Movember,” “Best MO in Character”, “Mo Bro and Mo Sista” and “Lame MO,” for the poor individual with the weakest mustache. Judges for the mustache contest included Brandon from DC Brau, Tommy from Flying Dog, Tim from Meridian Pint, and J from Dawson’s Liquors. Prizes included gift cards to Dawson’s Liquor and a special bottle from Dawson's private cellar.
Aside from growing epic facial hair, Movember is about raising awareness for men’s health issues, especially prostate cancer, and fundraising efforts benefit the Prostate Cancer Foundation and Livestrong.
