Santarchy DC 2010
Santabama, Army Santa and Santataurous Rex were just a few of the North Polers to descend upon downtown D.C. on Saturday December 11th for the annual Santarchy celebration. General merriment and holiday debauchery were plentiful as scores of Santas (over 300 to be exact) and horde of ho,ho ho'ers paraded around the mall with spontaneous combustions of Christmas carols and photo shoots. The group created a ring of red and white around the Washington Monument and White House, before dispersing to bars and pubs throughout Dupont Circle, Chinatown and Adams Morgan. The annual event celebrated in major cities all over the world unites tens of thousands of Santas for a non-profit, non-political, non-religious and non-sensical celebration of holiday cheer.
