So you’ve heard the whispers and gotten the invites to what are commonly referred to as “sex toy parties,” but you weren’t exactly sure what they involve. Relax, it’s the 21st century, and companies like Naughty Girl Parties are here to help you enjoy sex even more.
Let’s get a few misconceptions out of the way. First, the idea that these parties are all about vibrators and other phalluses; Cory, the party host and owner of Naughty Girl Parties, brought over 100 items of which only 12 fell into that category. Second misconception is that these parties are just for bachelorettes or divorce parties (side note: yes, divorce parties do apparently exist). These parties are great because you don’t need an excuse to throw one; the party itself is a great reason to host a girl’s night out.
The most important part to remember is that the parties are fun and great at helping you open up the lines of communication between you and your significant other so that you’re both getting what you want in bed. So how do you throw one of these parties and what actually happens?
Make sure you find a reputable company (one with good reviews and a list of products that actually explain why and how they work) and contact them for a party. There are a lot of companies out there and many of them come across as tacky and in it for shock value. For our Metromix party we chose Naughty Girl Parties, an L.A. based company, and we were lucky enough to have the owner as our naughty girl hostess. She brings everything she needs except for a table, and you provide the guests and refreshments. (You will definitely want alcohol and lots of it!)
Depending on the company, your party hostess will show you everything from bath products to massage oils, novelty gifts and toys. Some play games but most tell dirty jokes and make naughty comments about the products depending on the response from partygoers. Rule of thumb, the more alcohol involved, the raunchier the party.
One of the best parts of these home parties is how customizable they are. If your friends aren’t going to be comfortable with having tons of toys at the party, tell your party planner to leave them behind. If you have an open-minded group of friends, and you want to include your significant other, some companies (including Naughty Girl Parties) allow co-ed parties while others stick to a strict girls only theme. Don't be afraid of the ordering process either, all orders are taken in a separate room, completely private so that only you and the Naughty Girl party planner know. Whatever you choose, this soiree will be way more interesting and beneficial than your mother’s Tupperware parties!
