The CCT is a trail from Georgetown to Silver Spring, MD open to walkers, joggers, bikers and rollerbladers. The 11 mile trail was built on the rail bed of the Georgetown branch of the B&O railroad. Currently, the trail is partially constructed: a complete hard surface trail spans from Georgetown to Bethesda, but a temporary gravel trail spans from Bethesda to Rosemary Hills, in west Silver Spring. The Coalition for the Capital Crescent Trail works to ensure the continuation of the project.
