Sarah Palin vs. Katie Couric. Hmm, who will win?

The morning shows are pulling out the big guns this week. Today announced that Palin will co-host on Tuesday.

The announcement was posted Sunday on NBC's website and mentioned on the air Monday. The former Alaska governor and GOP vice presidential candidate promises to "reveal a different side" than viewers have seen before.

Update: Palin got on the phone today with Matt Lauer who immediately threw some snark her way.

"What are you doing to prepare? Are you reading some newspapers?" Lauer asked Palin, as the Today gang said 'Oooooh." He was, of course, alluding to Couric's famous gotcha question to Palin during the campaign.

"That's a fine how do you do," Palin said, laughing along. "That's a great start. Here we go!"

Meredith Vieira, who stopped by and was sitting on the couch, piped up to offer some advice: "Hide your things from Lauer, because he'll deface your property, Ann Curry has been known to hit the ol' limoncello DeVito-style. Oh, and as for Al Roker? 'If Al asks to let him show you his neck of the woods… run."
