Wife's early exit. CBS' The Good Wife wrapped up its third season with a typical 10 million viewers Sunday, down from 12.6 million for last spring's finale. ABC's Private Practice (8.1 million Tuesday) improved its chances for survival with a 25% jump from the previous week's time-slot debut.

Ready for fall? ESPN's first-round NFL Draft (6.7 million viewers Thursday) was the second-best for the player-pick derby and topped the weekly cable chart.

Maddip. AMC's Mad Men (2.3 million viewers Sunday) posted its fifth consecutive weekly decline but is still pacing ahead of its previous season. The Killing hit a series-low 1.4 million.

TV Landing. The annual TV Land Awards drew just 1.1 million viewers Sunday, down nearly half from last year's 2 million.

Simple failure. CW's The L.A. Complex, a Canadian drama about wannabe Hollywood stars, was DOA with 630,000 viewers for Tuesday's premiere (though a repeat on Wednesday found 690,000).

Sexdidn't sell. Lifetime's reality series 7 Days of Sex drew just 606,000 viewers for Thursday's premiere, while the debut of The Conversation With Amanda de Cadenet, which followed, claimed 248,000.

More cable openers. TLC's My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding (1.7 million viewers Sunday); Discovery's American Guns (1.6 million Wednesday); Bravo's Don't Be Tardy for the Wedding (1.4 million Thursday); Syfy's Total Blackout (1.3 million Wednesday); and Animal Planet's Whale Wars: Viking Shores (1.1 million Friday).

Sayonaras. Comedy Central's South Park (2.3 million viewers Wednesday); A&E's Breakout Kings and E!'s Ice Loves Coco (1.3 million apiece Sunday).
