USA's Psych takes a heavier dramatic turn in its upcoming season as Shawn's dad, Henry (Corbin Bernsen), is shot.

Henry's shooting was part of a seventh-season clip reel from the usually lighthearted investigative drama that was shown to a revved-up Comic-Con crowd Thursday. Asked his least favorite scene during the run of the series, Bernsen said: "I suppose getting shot, because I don't know if I have a job."

It may be a good sign for Henry that Bernsen was on the panel.

Another highlight was a scene from Psych's 100th episode, 100 "Clues." It brings back stars from the 1985 film, Clue, including Martin Mull, Christopher Lloyd and Lesley Ann Warren.

The show looks like it will take on The Blair Witch Project in another episode. Executive producer Steve Franks also promised a two-hour musical episode in Season 7, even singing a few lines from one song for the appreciative audience. "I'd love to take this to Broadway," he said.

Despite Henry getting shot, don't expect wisecracking Shawn (James Roday) to grow up too much. Co-star Dule Hill said: "I think that's an oxymoron. Mature and Shawn don't go together."
