“When I got to Nashville I started to feel slightly more comfortable—I was staying at Tim [McGraw] and Faith [Hill]’s house and I felt really cocooned by them. … I had prepared so much for it that I knew I could do it if I could just get out of my own way. And then I actually kind of enjoyed the actual thing.”
