Beck's 'Guero'

Before he started jamming with the Greenhornes and the Raconteurs, White found the time to work outside his circle of friends. He manned the bass on "Go It Alone," the tenth track from Beck's 2005 effort "Guero," which also featured cameos from Money Mark, Petra Haden and even actress Christina Ricci. A fitting collaboration, given that the Spanish term "guero" loosely translates into English as "white boy." (Sting, despite being perhaps the whitest boy of all, did not appear on the album—he was just caught on-camera schmoozing with Beck and White at the Grammys.)
