Rock reunions gone wrong

Reunion frontman: William DuVall

As his songs frequently dealt with drug abuse and addiction, It seemed likely that Alice in Chains frontman Layne Staley wasn’t long for this world. He and guitarist Jerry Cantrell (pictured, in the background) formed the hard rock band in Seattle in 1987 and saw great success in the early/mid-‘90s grunge boom. Staley succumbed to his demons in 2002, and Centrell pseudo-reunited the band in 2005 with Comes With the Fall vocalist William DuVall (pictured) taking center stage. They’re said to be completing an album of new material for release later this year.
