...or so we hope
The rumors were rampant: Steven Tyler was leaving Aerosmith, the classic rock band he’s fronted for some 40 years. In a recent interview, guitarist Joe Perry seemed to indicate it was a done deal—Tyler, who sang everything from “Sweet Emotion” and “Walk This Way” to “Cryin’” and “Jaded” with the group of rockin’ Bostonians, wouldn’t be a member of the legendary band anymore. Then, amid all the breakup buzz, Tyler showed up at a Joe Perry Project (that's Joe's solo group) show to sing "Walk This Way" with his old bud and dispel the gossip. So, we guess that means they're staying together, for now. There's been no official explanation as to why Tyler seemed to be thinking of quitting Aerosmith, but here are 15 reasons that (we really hope) weren't it.—Keith N.
