Huey Lewis & The News with Paul Thorn Band at Wolf Trap
80’s rock legends Huey Lewis & The News took the Wolf Trap stage Wednesday night for an epic of night of rock and roll fun! The California based group rocked the house with songs off their new album Soulsville, plus all their classic hits including “Power of Love,” “Back in Time,” and “The Heart of Rock and Roll.” Soulsville, the group’s first album in 9 years, pays tribute to the R&B and soul roots that has influenced the group, featuring “Cry to Me,” originally recorded by Solomon Burke, and the Staples Singers classic “Respect Yourself,” among others.
Warming up the crowd for Huey and the boys were the wildly entertaining and talented Paul Thorn Band. The Mississippi rocker and his group had the crowd laughing and rocking as Thorn told comedic stories about his personal life as he transitioned from song to song.
