The Scene with Samy K: Swinging... (The Nice Kind)

Now you know I'm down for just about anything but when I heard my boss mention I was going to a "place where people meet up and swing," I'd be lying if I said I wasn't just a little nervous.  Luckily, I just have a dirty mind and she was actually talking about swing dancing in DC...  Now I know that you probably think that the Jam Cellar (that's its formal name) is a bunch of senior citizens that smell like Old Spice, but on the contrary it's an alternative to boozing in the Nation's Capital that attracts tons of 20 somethings to early 30's every Tuesday night...  (Okay, there's one guy there who fits that stereotype, but he's funny so I ignore it.)

Located between the U St. and Columbia Heights neighborhood these "swingers" flock to the Josephine's Butler Park Center at 9:30 p.m. for their weekly open dance (usually the music is provided by a DJ but if you check out their schedule they have the occasional big band for the full effect).  While I was there the space filled quickly right around 9:30 p.m. on the dot and it was close to midnight before I got home. Now if you are a complete beginner (like me) or maybe you just need to brush up on your swing dance skills, they offer free beginner classes as well as intermediate and private lessons for a small fee.

Now the perplexing decision... How should the video end? Pick one of the following choices:

A) Watch as I dance with a young lady who is clearly out of my league

B) See me dance in the rain by myself. (I may lose my shirt. You're welcome, ladies.)

C) And we can't legally say the name, but I dress like a beloved children's character and mack on chicks and shake my thang.
